Cal. 44 WCF. S#. 426598. bbl. 24" round. Marble white bead front, flat top sporting rear with combination tang sight. Full length mag. Blue finish with case colored lever. Forend & hard rubber capped pistol grips stock of XX fancy black walnut with crescent steel buttplate. Style H checkering. Left inside of the lower tang is stamped with wood grade marking "XX" followed by assembly no. "2185". Mfg. 1907. CONDITION: After close inspection, the receiver appears to possibly have been professionally refinished/touched up. Over 85% blue showing light edge wear. Lever retains over 75% case colors. Stocks retain good original finish & checkering showing scattered scratches 7 marks. Sound action. Bright near excellent bore. (25-1298/DS). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
