Cal. 45-90 WCF. S# 133439A. Bbl. 26" octagon with original sporting sights. Full length mag. Blue finish with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forend and straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. 1905. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from the Cody Firearms Museum stating, The original manufacturer's data for Model 1886, serial number 133439, as extracted from the original Winchester records in this museum, are as follows: "serial number application date not available. Type: Rifle. Caliber: 45/90. Barrel Type: Octagon. Trigger: Plain. Received in warehouse on April 06, 1905. Shipped from warehouse on September 25, 1905, Order number 28406". The letter also includes information for a 33 caliber rifle that may have a duplicate serial number. CONDITION: 70% fading blue showing edge & carry wear w/ scattered scratches & marks. Hammer & lever retain some lightly visible case colors. Original wood finish shows wear with areas of darkening & have numerous scratches & marks. Sound action. Good bright bore.
