MUSKET. Cal. 45-75WCF. S#. 28786. bbl. 32" round. Fixed front with graduated leaf rear sight. Tubular mag. concealed in single band fastened full length forend having a right side mounted cleaning rod. Bayonet lug is forend cap mounted. Straight grip walnut stock with steel musket buttplate. Right side of stock is stamped with initials "C G H". Left side of stock is also also stamped with initials "C G H" along with numbers "0029". UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Winchester Repeating arms letter dated September 15,1988 stating: "Musket, Received in the warehouse on October 30,1882, Shipped from the warehouse on November 22, 1882 With 299 other muskets and 95 carbines to order number 35449.". Rifle is also accompanied by a U.S. Winchester Model 1873 Yataghan sword bayonet. Left side of ricasso with apparent Imperial German proof, right side stamped "B". 1-piece feathered brass handle. Blade retains a mostly bright appearance, showing scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation. Brass handle shows scattered handling marks, retaining a mostly bright appearance. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to brown. Stocks have dark worn appearance showing dents & marks. Sound action. Dark pitted bore. (01-26805/DS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
