Cal. 45-70. S# 56414. Bbl. 26" octagon. Rocky Mountain front sight, original "1886" dated graduated leaf rear sight, with Lyman "N" tang sight. Full length mag. Blue and case colored finish. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock, with crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. in 1891. CONDITION: bbl. and mag. tube retain 40% original blue. Action shows a small amount of lightly visible case colors, with balance fading to silver/gray showing spotted surface freckling. Original wood shows scattered small scratches and marks. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright, with strong rifling showing small spots of very light pitting. (01-27088/DS). ANTIQUE. $4,000-5,500.
