Dovetail mounted front sight with standing nickel silver post style bead, rear sight is altered to flat top configuration, and added combination tang sight. Button mag. Blue and case colored finish. Forearm and pistol grip stock of fancy walnut have ebony grip insert, Style H factory checkering, and steel shotgun buttplate. Inside left of lower tang is stamped with assembly # "922" followed by wood grade marking "XX" and "S". Top tang channel of stock has matching assembly # "922". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Waddy Colvert letter stating: "Rifle/ 50/110 Caliber/ 1/2 Octagon Barrel/ Set Trigger/ Checkered stock with pistol grip/ Lyman front and rear sights/ 1/2 Magazine/ Shotgun Butt/ Started in warehouse September 8, 1893/ Shipped from warehouse on September 9, 1893, order number 23842". CONDITION: bbl. retains 70% dull fading blue showing spotted corrosion. Action, forearm cap, and buttplate have 90% restored case colors. Wood finish shows light finish and checkering wear with scattered scratches, marks, and spots of darkened appearance. Hammer will not hold in half cock position. Trigger set screw mechanism has been removed, trigger now operates in plain mode only. Lightly pitted bore retains sound rifling. (01-26776/DS). ANTIQUE. $5,000-8,000.
