Cal. 45-60. S# 25118. Bbl unmarked 31" octagon replacement with handstamped caliber marking. Bead front sight with graduated leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Walnut forearm, straight grip stock with crescent steel trapdoor crescent buttplate. Mfg. 1882. CONDITION: metal has cleaned appearance. Action shows general pitting. Bbl and mag tube shows spots of surface rust. Nickel plated forearm cap mounted too far forward for proper forearm fit. Wood is sanded and refinished showing scratches and marks. Action shows wear. Mag tube, cap, spring and follower are not present. Bore retains sound rifling with darkening in the grooves. (01-28182/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
