Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). S#. 133231A. Bbl. 24" octagon. Original style sporting front sight with replacement flat top style sporting rear sight. Half length mag. Single set trigger. Walnut forend & straight grip stock with shotgun style steel buttplate. 1883 mfg. CONDITION: metal has faded to mottled gray showing spotted corrosion, small dents with wrench marks on the breech end of the bbl. Some action screws are replacement, some show distortion. Properly functioning action & set trigger. Sanded wood is some what undersize at the action showing numerous scratches & dents. Toe line has a flattened spot with 2 added holes for swivel attachment. The forend is cracked along the bottom with a narrow 5" long added wood repair along the left bbl. channel. Dark lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling. (01-26765/DS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
