Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). S# 159593A. Bbl 24" octagon with sporting sights. Full length mag. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock and crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Mfg. 1885. CONDITION: metal has faded gray appearance with scattered light pitting. Wood has heavily worn age darkened appearance with scratches, marks and dents. Forearm has a large full length crack across the bottom with smaller cracks and chips on either side of the forearm cap. Functioning action. Dark lightly pitted bore.
