Cal. 44 WCF. S# 327538B. 24" octagon, with original sporting sights. Full length mag. Blue finish, with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm, with straight grip stock having crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Mfg. in 1888. CONDITION: original blue is fading to brown, showing scattered handling marks, with small spots of pitting. Hammer and lever show faint traces of case colors. Original wood has added finish over wear, with scattered scratches and marks. Mechanically fine. Frosted bore retains good rifling. (01-27065/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,000.
