Cal. 44 HRF. S# 41200. Bbl. 24" octagon. Sporting front sight with graduated leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Brass action. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock featuring brass crescent buttplate, brass forearm cap, and sling swivels. Mfg. in 1870. CONDITION: brass action has a mild aged tarnish showing darker spotting with scattered scratches and dents. Bbl. and mag. tube finish has largely faded to gray. Sanded and refinished wood shows numerous scratches, marks, and dents. Stock has small chips around the top tang. Functioning action. Dark pitted bore retains largely intact rifling.
