Brass action has nearly full coverage aftermarket vine type foliate scroll engraving w/ punch dot backgrounds. Circular vignette on right sideplate features the Mexican eagle & snake. Complimentary engraving extends to the forearm cap & buttplate peak. Replacement walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ trapdoor brass crescent buttplate. S# indicates 1870 mfg. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube have gray coloration w/ dents. Brass exhibits a pleasing mild patina. Stocks have good finish showing small handling marks. Sound action.
