Bbl. 22" sporter with banded user changeable brass bead front sight plus folding leaf rear on factory quarter rib that is machined for its Ruger 1" scope rings; without "warning marks" (initiated 1978) showing just Southport address. Gloss finished Leupold Vari-X II 1-4 power scope with Duplex reticle. Mfg. 1977 (1967 to date) with checkered walnut stock having Alex Henry forend, wonderful buttstock figure, red pad (early rounded edges), steel grip cap and detachable sling swivel bases (front is barrel band style). UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: poor (water damaged) original matching numbered 1 piece white cardboard box with paperwork; bright yellow end label. Original 11-29-77 bill of sale from Ron Shirk's of Lebanon, PA listing rifle at $279.95 and scope at $69.95. CONDITION: generally near excellent with very slight thinning of bluing on front edge of lever. Light stock marks; mostly on buttstock concentrated at toe line between swivel base and pad. Near excellent optics and bore; scope exterior has prior ring marks at rear. PPROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (25-5662/NW). MODERN. $800-1,200.
