Lot 2474 BRAZILIAN 45 ACP BOLT ACTION CARBINE.
Cal. 45 ACP. S# 21197. Bbl. 16 1/2" with stepped military configured barrel without provision for sights. Made in Brazil by Fabrica de Itajuba' as 36 caliber shotgun that was initially sold to army officers in 1962 and later to commercial markets in 1965 & 1966. Deemed a 410 by Brazilians and also made in 28 gauge. CAI import marked and they likely retrofitted the 45 barrel and scope bases. Presently has a low priced 1" tubed 4 power scope with post reticle. Original fixed box magazine fitted with an alloy adapter that holds its 1911 style magazine secured by a latch looking like for a Model 1911. Front receiver ring deeply stamped with "Full Choke" over "Cal. 36". Military carbine style stock has stamped crest on left side of butt dated 1898. Mismatch numbered bolt assembly fitted with longer more modern handle of Remington Model 700 style. MAGS: 1 blued 8 rd. CONDITION: good to very good with matte blued action, barrel and bolt shroud of Mauser 1891 / 1893 style that cocks on closing. Safety reduced in size to clear scope. Standard military trigger guard assembly with 2 stage trigger plus magazine adapter in place of floorplate and follower. Near excellent bore and scope set. Refinished stock with handling marks.
