SHOTGUN. Cal. 410 GA, 2 1/2" & 3". S# 03537NZ982. Bbl. 26". Model 42 Grade V pump action shotgun mfg. in Japan and imported/retailed by Browning Arms Company. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the model and cal. designations followed by a "FULL" choke marking, with Browning's importer information above "MADE IN JAPAN" marked on the right. Sides of receiver feature scroll engraving on a matte hatched background, with the left side exhibiting a scene of a gold inlaid flushing grouse and 2 hunting dogs, and the right a scene of 4 gold flying mallard. Metal components exhibit a lustrous blue finish overall, save for on the mag. tube, which exhibits a matte blue finish. Bolt and carrier are polished in-the-white. High grade checkered wood pump and blued steel capped pistol grip stock with Browning black synthetic buttplate. Grooved matte V/R with aluminum bead front sight. Matching numbers are present on the receiver and bbl. assembly. CONDITION: extremely fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory blue finishes overall, with some light wear on the mag. tube from cycling of the action. Mirror bore. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture is excellent, showing few minor superficial handling marks overall. (25-6093/MLW). MODERN. $1,200-1,800.
