ACTION REVOLVER WITH FACTORY BOX. Cal. 357 Magnum. S# L78974. Bbl. 2 1/8". Lawman Mk III double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1978. Left side of the bbl. is marked "LAWMAN MK III/ .357 MAGNUM CTG", with Colt's 2-line address marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo, as well as with Colt's "VP" proof. Metal components exhibit a nickel plated finish overall, save for on the trigger, which is blued, and the hammer, which exhibits a case color hardened finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt gold medallion checkered wood grips. Fixed ramp blade front sight, with square frame notched rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory box and styrofoam insert. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some superficial handling marks, with a few small spots of bubbling and flaking present on the left side of the frame. Mirror bore, exhibiting a thin layer of grease, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but are otherwise very good overall. Box shows moderate wear, with the end flap with the end label being absent. (25-1240/MLW). MODERN. $600-1,000.
