TARGET PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. S# 1247. Bbl. 8 1/4". Camp Perry single action only single shot target pistol mfg. by Colt in 1929. Left side of the bbl. is marked "CAL.22 LONG RIFLE", with Colt's 2-line mfg. and patent information marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo, with "CAMP PERRY MODEL" marked on the left side of the breechblock. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the sides of the hammer, which are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. Pinned blade front sight with adj. square notch rear sight. Knurled backstrap and trigger. Matching S# "1427" is present on the frame (left side, beneath grip panel) and on the cyl. crane. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that have faded to gray patina, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Sides of hammer exhibit light pitting and age related discoloration. Bright bore, exhibiting light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show mild to moderate smoothing and some scattered superficial marks and impressions, but otherwise remain sound. (25-5364/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
