AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 61354. Bbl. 4 3/8" Kart NM throated with fitted lugs and hood (traces of Dykem Blue remaining). Government frame with Commander slide; frame dust cover extends beyond slide scallops at front. Slide has flared and lowered ejection port plus numbered 74T internally under firing pin tunnel; front dovetailed for its under cut square faced front sight plus rear machined for the melted fit of its Kensight Target rear sight having total blade movement of Elliason style. Frame and slide fitted for minimal clearance and smooth functioning. Inside of frame dust cover radiused to provide proper slide clearance. Frame has ultra light weight spur hammer with narrowed sides promoting decreased lock time. Caspian Speed Bump beavertail style grip safety. Standard military style thumb safety, slide lock and magazine latch. Front strap has vintage syle chiseled surface. Double diamond walnut grips with Allen head grip screws. Very lightly flared magazine well. Fitted Kart barrel bushing. Commander style recoil spring assembly and plug. Skeletonized long length aluminum trigger with nicely adjusted overtravel stop. Polished feed ramp with proper relationship to barrel. MAGS: 1 good 7 rd. with base marked "COLT / 45 AUTO"; slight function wear and light cleaned oxidation. CONDITION: very good to near excellent overall with some spotty areas on sides of slide that appear caused by oil contamination before bluing. Near excellent bore and grips. Maker of this fine custom build is unknown, but clearly well executed by a skilled craftsman. (25-3302/NW). MODERN. $650-900.
