Lot 2293 CASPIAN CUSTOM STAINLESS 45 ACP SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.

Cal. 45 ACP. S# S11847. Bbl. Colt 5" MK-IV Series 70 with US Military NM blued bushing. Special frame with front strap finger locator of the style popularized by Safari Arms; integrally cast raised panel of checkering below the locator. Trigger guard has distinctive front "hook" to aid in two handed shooting. Well fitted slide to frame plus barrel and bushing assembly. Slide has flat topped raised rib having 5 grooves plus rear milled for Bo-Mar style target sight but fitted with Novak style fixed sight; front sight is Millett Dual Crimp showing orange "T" face. Square cut vertical cocking grooves at rear and just forward of flared ejection port rather than near muzzle. Standard magazine latch, plunger tube, spring guide and ejector are blued; thumb safety appears to be by Colt with satin nickel grooved finish. Grip safety is 1911-A1 style plus flat checkered mainspring housing. 1911 Military style slide stop appears to be polished stainless. Commander style hammer and long aluminum trigger with serrated face and overtravel stop. Fully checkered walnut grips with slotted stainless screws. MAGS: unmarked blued 7 rd. with finish removed around latch section having Dykem Blue added (likely for fitting latch notch); base holes for pad plus numbered "2". CONDITION: very nicely set up defense style pistol that can easily be enhanced by replacing the rear sight with one that is adjustable. Style of front strap is unconventional, but very comfortable and user friendly. All appears near excellent including bore and grips. Hammer follows slide when fully released. (25-3300/NW).
