^Lot 2225 RARE PARKER REPRODUCTION BHE 2 BARREL SET WITH

CASE. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4" (both). S# B-12-0069. The BHE reproduction was offered after 1988 and was available through special order only. Only 100 12 bore guns were made. Retail price was $3,970 and an extra set of barrels was about $1,800. This fine example has 2 sets of barrels; 1- 26" choked IC & mod; the other 28" choked mod & full. S#s on both barrel sets match action. Ribs are marked "Parker Reproduction by WINCHESTER East Alton IL U.S.A. Made in Japan". There are 2" triangles of scroll engraving at breech ends. Barrel flats are marked for chokes, Parker proofs, grade and chamber info and frame size 1-1/2". Loops are stamped "1" & "2". One forend serves both barrel sets. Typical Parker case hardened action is filed with single beads around fences in grade "B" fashion and features automatic safety and double triggers (most were made with single). Action is engraved in typical "B" style with well cut scroll surrounding bird scenes; grouse on left and right. "PARKER BROS" is under each scene. Trigger plate is engraved with a flushing woodcock. Scroll engraved trigger guard has partial S# on tang. Straight grip buttstock made of very nicely crotch figured American walnut measures 14-1/4" over skeleton steel buttplate. Side panels are checkered and have fleur-de-lis drop points. Grip checkering is of typical "B" style with flourishes into comb. A vacant gold oval is on toeline. Matching splinter ejector forend has usual Parker release. MEASUREMENTS: DAH: 2-5/16". DAC: 1-7/16". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-1/4". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 15 oz. with 28" barrels. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in its original leather case with leather corners lined in green felt. Case has leather trimmed canvas outer cover. Bottom of case is configured for both barrel sets and contains: snap caps, steel shot tag and Parker Reproduction booklet along with 2 keys. CONDITION: exceptionally fine. Appears essentially "as new"; with scant evidence of ever being fired. There are only a very few handling and assembly marks on all wood and metal surfaces. Mechanically crisp. Case leather is exceptionally fine as protected by its outer cover which shows some rubs. Interior cloth shows some minor marks. (25-5793/MGM). MODERN. $8,000-12,000.
