Lot 2222 PARKER SINGLE BARREL TRAP GUN UPGRADED TO A-1
SPECIAL AND GOLD INLAID. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 242367. The 30" Acme steel barrel with full choke has Remington markings on barrel flats. Barrel is fitted with slightly raised matted ventilated rib. Breech area is engraved with 4" triangles of large deeply cut scroll surrounding gold inlaid game birds on sides; with two quail under "PARKER-A1-SPECIAL" in gold on left. Right side portrays a trio of flying ducks. Muzzle also has triangles of scroll engraving. Black finished action without safety has single trigger and altered grade markings on watertable. Action is engraved with full coverage large scroll surrounding relief gold dogs on left and ducks on right. Trigger plate has a circular scene of two flushing pheasant and a flying goose is on trigger guard bow. Front of trigger plate is gold inlaid with multi-banded shield surrounding "WW" at center below deeply engraved "WALKER". Capped pistol grip buttstock of crotch figured American walnut measures 14-1/4" over black trap pad. Checkering at grip is surrounded by large acanthus scrolls which also appear on side panels. Matching beavertail forend has usual Parker release. S# on iron is re-engraved. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 1-3/8". DAC: 1-3/8". CAST: about 1/4" off. LOP: 14-1/4". WEIGHT: 8 lb. 6 oz. CONDITION: fine as custom finished. Metal retaining nearly all of re-black with some high edge wear. Stocks have a few knicks and bumps in their original oil finish. Bore is bright and shiny.
