Lot 2213 WINCHESTER MODEL 37 "RED LETTER" SINGLE SHOT

SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA, 2 3/4". NSN. Bbl. 30". Model 37 "Red Letter" single shot shotgun mfg. by Winchester between 1936-1963. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations, above "FULL", with " 2 3/4" marked towards the breech. Underside of the receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark logo in red characters. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock and forend have been sanded and revarnished. Brass bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks, with light to mild pitting present beneath the bluing overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting towards the muzzle. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting a repaired chip at the toe, and a small crack on the underside of the wrist.
