Lot 2208 FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION WINCHESTER MODEL 50
SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA, 2 3/4". S# 22243. Bbl. 28". Model 50 semi-automatic shotgun mfg. by Winchester during the first year of Model 50 production (1954). Left side of the bbl. is marked with the Winchester trademark logo, followed by the model and cal. designations above "MOD". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the aluminum trigger guard, which exhibits a black anodized finish. Receiver has been reblued at one time. Checkered wood pistol grip buttstock and forend appear to have been lightly sanded and revarnished. Aluminum bead front sight. CONDITION: receiver retains bountiful amounts of its reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild pitting beneath the bluing, with scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation present on the right and underside. Bbl. retains the majority of its original factory blue finish, exhibiting an area of wear and thinning, with scattered small spots of finish loss and an area of mild pitting present towards the chamber. Mirror bore. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1918/MLW).
