CONVERSION PUMP SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. 2 7/8". S# 879064. Bbl. 26" with added Simmons small round donut base vent rib. White target front sight with steel mid bead. Barrel is choke marked "SKEET". Barrel extension has a hand engraved pigeon. Receiver is marked "SKEET" below serial number. Jeweled bolt and carrier. Carrier has a shell guide on left side. Cartridge cutoff appears to be reshaped and stamped "28" over "20". Correct 28ga magazine tube. Left side of barrel and receiver have added "WP" proof marks. Custom aftermarket beavertail forearm and hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of fancy walnut with skeet pattern hand checkering. LOP: 13 7/8" over a Winchester solid red pad. Mfg. 1941. CONDITION: over 95% original blue showing slide wear. Carrier retains 60% hand jeweling. Stock and forearm have good gloss finish showing a few small marks. Stock behind trigger guard tang shows small chips. Take-up ring on the barrel is adjusted by four notches. Very good bore. PROVENANCE: Estate of Lloyd Robinson. (25-6654/DS). CURIO. $4,000-6,000.
