Cal. .250 Bore (297/250 Rook). S# 18857 (on triggerguard bow). Oct. 27" bbl. with matting on top of barrel. Bead front sight & 2 leaf folding rear sight. Side-lever action w/ acanthus scroll engraving. Walnut stock set w/ ebony forearm tip, steel pistol grip cap & grooved bare butt. CONDITION: dull fading blue mixing with brown patina. Receiver has gray patina appearance with light marks. Sanded & refinished wood shows sm. gouges to recut checkering & light marks. Dark bore with pitting. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick.
