Lot 2149 BSA No. 12 MARTINI SINGLE SHOT TARGET RIFLE.
Cal. 22 LR. S# 16236. Bbl. 24 1/4" having military style tangent rear sight, island base with dovetailed Patridge blade front sight plus Parker-Hale target blocks. Appears to be Model 12A as used in Canada with shorter than standard (29") barrel. Mfg. prior to WW-II with British proofs and caliber designation of ".220 Long Rifle". Plain stock set with checkering added to forend. Rear of action drilled and tapped for tang sight plus top front of buttstock configured for the sight. Checkered hard rubber BSA buttplate; swivel eye in buttstock. CONDITION: fair general appearance with patina and numerous handling marks. Missing swivel eyes and brass globe sight insert container on forend. Missing blade style cocking indicator. Very worn checkered area of forend. Barrel has been relined with liner of about .4" diameter; bore is worn with light even pitting. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection. (25-6518/NW). CURIO. $400-600.
