SHOT BREECHLOADING TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# U2186H. Bbl. 29 3/16". Martini International single shot breechloading target rifle mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms (BSA). Left side of the bbl. is stamped "M" towards the breech, with British proofs, the S#, and cal. designation marked on the right. Left side of the receiver is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND", with "B.S.A. MARTINI-INTERNATIONAL" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the breechblock, which is polished in-the-white, and the breech lever, which is case colored. Massive plain wood bench rest pattern forearm features a steel rail and aluminum hand stop on the underside, with an added sling loop added on the left. 1-piece plain pistol grip buttstock with cheek rest and grooved black rubber BSA recoil pad. Top of bbl. is fitted with an aftermarket 12" black anodized aluminum sight mount, featuring a Weaver Classic KT-15 15x42 scope. Left side of the receiver is fitted with a sight rail. Grooved adj. trigger. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting scattered spots/areas of light to mild pitting beneath the bluing overall. Breech lever retains traces of its original case colored finish in protected areas. Mirror bore, retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and small impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. Scope retains a clear optic. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection.
