Lot 2147 BSA MARTINI INTERNATIONAL MARK V SINGLE SHOT
TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# FG2446H. Bbl. 28" heavy target with recessed crown, unmarked Unertl style target blocks and Parker-Hale sight set consisting of globe front sight and Receiver sight mounted to a base on left side of receiver. First offered in 1976 as an evolution of the earlier Martini actioned rifles with many modern improvements. Forend is 2 piece with a full aluminum rail attached to the barrel having wood on either side. Buttstock has slight roll over Monte Carlo cheek piece, slight palm swell on its RH pistol grip and adjustable aluminum buttplate with grooved BSA rubber pad. "FG" in serial number indicates right handed model; "FH" is left handed. The "H" suffix of the serial number indicates heavy barrel; "L" was for light pattern. "Secret Code" of "DB" over "3" in a circle on the barrel is the 4th variation stamping indicating made 1979. CONDITION: careful scrutiny may find a small mark on its finish plus it has an elliptical (not repaired) crack in the buttstock at top front just behind the receiver; generally near excellent in all other respects to include the bore.
