ACTION SPORTING RIFLE. Cal. 7x57. S# 7747. Tapered 24.5" barrel. Barrel has "1038" dated German Nitro proofs with Ramp mounted bead front sight with island mounted notch rear sight. Hensoldt Wetzler Dialyt 3x, German post reticle scope on claw rings & bases. Large ring Mauser 98 military style action with clip guide, claw extractor & 98 bolt shroud. Matching numbered walnut stock appearing to be sourced from military rifle w/ schnabel tip, added checkered round knob pistol grip, 2 wood plugs behind grip, filled in roundel inlet on right side buttstock. CONDITION: Good blue with spots of prior pitting & brown patina mixed with finish throughout. Very good refinished wood stock shrinkage around buttplate, small area of grain check cracks left side buttstock & sm. dings throughout.
