Cal. 416 Hoffman. S# 486470. Bbl. 24 3/4". Hannibal bolt action rifle chambered in .416 Hoffman mfg. from a U.S. Model 1917 action by A-Square. Left side of the bbl. is marked "416 HOFFMAN", with "A-SQUARE/ MADE IN USA" marked on the right. Left receiver wall exhibits a partially visible U.S. flaming ordnance bomb proof. Metal components exhibit a dull/matte gray finish overall. 1-piece plain wood brown epoxy bedded stock features checkered panels at the forearm and wrist, a checkered steel grip cap, as well as a textured red rubber Decelerator recoil pad. Ramped brass beaded blade front sight with 3-leaf Express rear sight graduated "100" (fixed), "200" (folding), and "300" (folding). Receiver is drilled and tapped with a Nikon Monarch UCC 1.5-6x42mm scope. Bbl. features an integral radial ported muzzle brake, banded sling swivel, as well as a flat lug (stock inletted to accommodate lug). Receiver features an integral mag. well with a Timney trigger. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1995 dated A-Square brochure. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original A-Square applied finish overall, exhibiting few light superficial handling marks, with some spots of light pitting and/or porosity present beneath the finish on surplus parts (bolt, bolt stop housing, forward tang of trigger guard). Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting some apparent hardened grease and/or firing residue, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock exhibits a few scattered superficial marks and small impressions, but otherwise remains very good overall and presents nicely. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic.
