DANGEROUS GAME DOUBLE RIFLE. Cal. 470 NE. S# A1410. The 24" shoe lump barrels are fitted with matted quarter rib holding one standing express rear sight. Matching front ramp holds silver bead. Mid-rib is engraved "Custom made for John Koegler, North Fork Bullets". Barrel flats and bottoms of barrels are stamped with caliber, French proofs and importer info (Kebco LLC). Coin finished boxlock type action with three bearing points on hinge pin features non-automatic safety, bushed strikers and double triggers. Action is engraved with about 60% coverage rose and scroll; bottom with "L' Atelier Verney -Carron" "Azur Safari" "France". Steel trigger guard has S# on tang that extends to engraved steel grip cap. Pistol grip buttstock of very attractively veined dark European walnut measures 14-3/4" over brown Decelerator pad and features shadow line right hand cheekpiece and point pattern grip checkering. Sling eyes are on toeline and bottom of barrels. Matching beavertail ejector forend has Anson release. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: rifle is housed in original black "ABS" foam lined case that contains; snap caps, some cleaning equipment and bags for action and barrel. CONDITION: very fine, close to "as new" with only a few minor handling and assembly marks in all factory finishes. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically crisp. Case is fine.
