Lot 2073 EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 62 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 21892. Bbl. 23". Model 62 slide action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1935. The left side of the bbl. extension is marked with the model designation, followed by the Winchester trademark logo, and the cal. designation, with Winchester's mfg. information marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood straight grip buttstock, with grooved wood pump. Buttstock appears to have been lightly sanded and revarnished at one time. Dovetailed aluminum beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as areas of light surface oxidation overall. Receiver exhibits light surface oxidation and pitting, with some areas of wear that show through to a brown patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1787/MLW).
