Cal. 308 Win. S# H274144. Bbl. 22". Model 88 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1972. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the model and cal. designations above Winchester's mfg. information. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. 1-piece pistol grip stock with Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate, featuring woven pattern grip panels on the forearm and pistol grip which terminate in acorn and oak leaf patterns on punch dot backgrounds. Ramped, hooded, and aluminum beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed folding leaf U-notch rear sight. Receiver is mounted with a Leupold VX-3i 3.5-10x40mm scope. MAGS: 1 4-rd. CONDITION: metal components are excellent, retaining nearly all of their original factory blue finish, showing a few spots of light edge wear and a few minor superficial handling marks overall. Near mirror bore, exhibiting a few small spots of what appears to be light surface oxidation, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows scattered superficial handling marks, scratches, and small impressions, but otherwise remains sound. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic. (25-4018/MLW). CURIO. $600-900.
