RIFLE. Cal. 22 Hornet. S# 14438. Bbl. 24 1/4". Model 43 bolt action rifle chambered in .22 Hornet mfg. by Winchester between 1949-1957.The left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the Winchester trademark logo, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt body, which is polished in-the-white. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip buttstock appears to have been lightly sanded and revarnished at one time. Ramped, hooded, and aluminum beaded blade front sight. Stith scope mount with unmarked period scope. MAGS: 1 5-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few scattered superficial handling marks, with some scattered spots of light surface oxidation present on the bbl. Bolt knob shows light wear and thinning, that lightly shows through to gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Stock is very good, showing a few scattered superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage.
