Metal components exhibit a professionally reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the bolt body and extractor which are polished in-the-white. Lightly sanded and refinished 1-piece horn tipped wood pistol grip stock features a wrap around checkered panel on the forearm, checkered panels on either side of the wrist, a Greener safety, oblong dark horn pistol grip cap, left handed cheekpiece, as well as a grooved dark horn buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: generic soft case containing a K. Kahles Helia-Super+ 8S2 8x56 fixed power scope. Rifle is also accompanied by 4 loose rds. of RWS 6.5x68mm ammunition. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their professionally reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light superficial handling marks and some small spots of light surface oxidation overall. Sides of bbl. exhibit spots / streaks of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting along the edges of the wood line. Bore is bright, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Rifle is currently unsafe to fire due to slippage of either the cocking piece or sear, resulting in the firing pin being struck upon closing of the bolt or (if not tripped on closing of bolt) firing pin is struck when downward pressure is applied to the bolt. Otherwise, double set triggers function appropriately. Stock is excellent, as lightly sanded and refinished, exhibiting a 3/8" crack on the top of the wrist stemming from the receiver tang, with a small crack on the right side stemming from the rear trigger guard tang. Scopes both retain clear and sharp optics. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection. (25-6370/MLW). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
