SPORTER. Cal. 30-06. S# 331486. The 24" medium weight sporter barrel is unmarked. 1903 action is fitted with Redfield one piece scope base. Bolt body is engine turned. A swept handle with pear shaped knob is installed along with a Buehler low scope safety. A commercial trigger is fitted. Bottom metal has had floorplate hinged with unique push up release inside trigger guard bow. Steel capped pistol grip stock of dark and dense fiddle figure Claro walnut measures 13-1/2" over Niedner steel buttplate with trap. Stock features high roll over Monte Carlo right hand cheekpiece, ebony forend tip and sling studs. Checkering is of Leonard Mews special skip line borderless style in his "rocket" pattern. Rifle is mounted with Ted Williams 3-9X scope with crosshair reticle in Redfield type rings. Scope has leather lens protector. CONDITION: very fine retaining nearly all custom finishes on both wood and metal with only a few minor marks. Bore is dirty; appears to be fine. Mechanically fine.
