WITH SCOPE. Cal. 30-06. S# 6361. The 22" medium weight barrel is marked "Flaig Ace" and with caliber at left rear. Bottom is stamped with "11 16 61B" (date). FN action stamped "MADE IN BELGIUM" on right side under wood has early style bolt stop, streamlined bolt shroud, trigger with safety on right side and hinged bottom metal. Pistol grip stock made of relatively plain what appears to be French walnut and measures 13-1/2" over white line pad. Stock features high roll over right hand cheekpiece, rosewood grip cap with contrasting diamond at center, ebony forend tip and sling eyes. "L. Mews" stamp is in barrel channel and checkering is of his standard point pattern and is very finely done. Rifle is mounted with Weaver 3-5X KV scope with crosshair reticle in Redfield rings and bases. Scope has power change turret under cap on right side. CONDITION: exceptionally fine retaining essentially all custom finishes on wood and metal with only some high edge wear on metal and a few minor marks in wood. Bore is very fine, sharp and shiny throughout. Scope is also very fine; optically clear. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection. (25-6502/MGM). MODERN. $2,500-3,750.
