Lot 1726 JAPANESE EDO PERIOD TEMPLE DECORATION.

This ornate brass temple decoration measures approximately 13 1/4"x14" and depicts bamboo, chrysanthemums, and other flora of Japan. The central motif is a knotted cord with a multi petal flower in the center. There is a large hanging loop at the top and the bottom is pierced in five places possibly for hanging something below the decoration. CONDITION: Brass has a light mellow patina and there is no apparent damage. (02-25827/BF). $300-500.
