^Lot 1721 JAPANESE SAMURAI HELMET INKWELL.

This impressive inkwell measures approximately 2 1/2" x3 1/2" and emulates an Edo period Japanese Samurai helmet. The body of the helmet has a plated finish with a crest on the front and flaps being gilded. A ring at the top of the helmet has a red silk adornment attached. There are two glass inserts in the base of the inkwell likely for two different colored inks. CONDITION: The inkwell is complete and shows light wear overall with a few tiny spots of oxidation.
