^Lot 1713 JAPANESE VERTICAL SWORD DISPLAY STAND OR KAKEDAI.

This kakedai measures 25 3/4" in height on a base that measures 12 1/2" x 10". It is decorated with copper colored spatter over a black enamel finish. There are several gold leaf cherry blossoms on the top, the shaft and around the front of the base. The base is decorated with gold peacocks with an ancient cherry tree to the right. CONDITION: The kakedai shows overall light to moderate wear with some chipping to the edges. The base is a bit faded likely from exposure to sunlight. (02-25823/BF) $300-500.
