^Lot 1693 WWII GERMAN GOLD GERMAN CROSS BY ZIMMERMANN.

A very fine original WWII German Cross in gold by the noted firm of C. F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim. The badge features a starburst design with a red bordered gold wreath around a silvered center and black enamel Party symbol. The reverse has the expected 4 rivet construction with a wide pin stamped "20" on the back. CONDITION: badge shows light overall wear with the classic Zimmermann die flaw at the 11 o'clock position. The silvered background has a dark tarnished finish. The pin catch is slightly bent as often seen. (02-24878-6/BF). NON-GUN. $1,800-2,800.
