Lot 1689 WWII GERMAN RAD UNIFORM COAT.

A scarce example of a deep sage green heavy wool uniform coat with a dark green collar for a WWII German RAD officer equivalent to a Lieutenant. The collar tabs are gray and silver bullion with bullion centers. The shoulder boards are 4 rows of silver bullion with no backing material. Above the right breast pocket is a flat bullion eagle on green. Above the left pocket are loops for a ribbon bar, and there are 2 more loops on the pocket. The front of the coat has 5 green/gray painted pebbled finish buttons, and each front pocket has the same button.. The interior has a partial brown/green cotton lining and the sleeves are unlined. There are several size and manufacturer marks on the interior right. CONDITION: the uniform coat generally shows light wear but there are a few moth nips. (02-24901/BF). NON-GUN. $400-700.
