Prussian Customs officer pickelhaube helmet. Wappen features a Prussian eagle with crown & "W" for Kaiser Wilhelm II. Helmet is of black leather construction with brass spike & hardware. Prussian & Imperial German kokades. Liner present. Ink markings inside are faint & illegible. CONDITION: leather shows scattered denting, crazing, cracking & age related wear. Brass parts show a couple moderate dents, some tarnishing & areas turning dull yellow patina. Liner shows overall crazing, age wear & fraying. Interior of helmet shows crazing & staining.
