^Lot 1655 IMPERIAL GERMAN WURTTEMBERG FIRE CHIEF HELMET.

Imperial German Württemberg fire chief pickelhaube helmet. Wappen features a Württemberg coat of arms with antlers, a fire helmet, two axes & the words "GOTT ZUR EHR DEM NACHSTEN ZUR WEHR". Leather body with silver plated spike & other parts. Dome has four 8-pointed star decorations. No liner present. CONDITION: interior shows notable staining, a couple large missing chunks, scattered staining, some tears & age wear. Leather exterior shows some denting, crazing, scuffing & age related wear. Silver plated parts show scattered light oxidation & tarnishing. (02-25843/MJC). NON-GUN. $700-1,100.
