Lot 1646 2 WWII GERMAN RED CROSS DAGGERS/HEWERS.

1) This dagger measures 16 3/8" overall with a plain, sawback, blunted blade featuring a fuller near the spine. The ricasso on the reverse is marked "GES. GESCHUTZT." Plated crossguard featuring a Red Cross eagle on the front oval languet. Two-piece composite grip, with the front grip being crosshatched. Plated oval, bowl-shaped pommel. Black enameled scabbard with plated mounts and original frog. CONDITION: blade shows scabbard wear with very minor staining. Hilt, grips, and scabbard all show light wear. 2) This dagger measures 16 3/8" overall with a plain, sawback, blunted blade featuring a fuller near the spine.
