^Lot 1635 WWII GERMAN SENIOR FORESTRY LEADER DAGGER.

A nice etched Forestry Leader's dagger by Horster measuring 15 3/4" overall with a nicely etched 9 3/4" blade. Etching includes hunting scenes and game animals. The ricasso is marked " E. u. F. HORSTER (logo) SOLINGEN." and the pad is in place. Gilded hilt with an elk on the clam shell guard and a hoof quillon. Oak leaf decorated knuckle bow with a Party eagle on the ferrule. 2-piece off white grip with 3 acorns on each side. Gilded brass mounted leather scabbard with acorn frog stud. CONDITION: blade shows original factory polish. Hilt retains nearly all of its original gilding. Grip shows light wear. Scabbard shows light wear. (02-24918/BF). NON-GUN. $400-700.
