Lot 1632 WWII GERMAN FIRE OFFICIAL'S DAGGER.
A very nice and rare example of a WWII German Fire Officials dagger measuring 19 1/8" overall with a beautifully etched unmarked blade. Etching includes various fire fighting equipment and foliate motifs. Silvered crossguard with central axe and helmet design. Silvered pommel decorated with oak leaves on the top half. Wire wrapped black leather grip. Black leather scabbard with silvered mounts. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish. Hilt shows light wear with tarnished areas where plating has worn off. Grip is undamaged but does show light wear. Scabbard is very solid with wear to the plated finish. (02-24934/BF).
