DAGGER.This high grade private purchase Imperial German hunting dagger measures 20" overall with an unmarked etched blade. Etching includes foliate motifs with game animals and a hunter blowing a horn. Rococo style silvered hilt with animal head finials on the crossguard and a down turned guard. Plain ferrule with an embellished pommel. Wire wrapped grip with a second layer of wire over the first. Scabbard is black leather over non-ferrous metal with ornate silvered mounts. CONDITION: dagger shows light wear overall with ample tarnish. (02-24936/BF). NON-GUN. $300-500.
