A nice example of a WWII German Land Customs dagger measuring 16 " overall with a plain blade marked (logo) W K C SOLINGEN". Plated crossguard with Army eagle. Plated pommel decorated with well articulated oak leaves. Wire wrapped blue leather grip with correctly tied bullion knot. Blue leather scabbard with plated mounts. CONDITION: blade has a pleasing finish with some scattered staining. Hilt shows wear to the plated finish on the high points. Grip and scabbard body show very light wear. Scabbard mounts have lost most of their plated finish but remain undamaged. (02-24970/BF). NON-GUN. $1,600-2,200.
