Stoker & Co (SMF) was a major manufacturer of 1st model Luftwaffe daggers. This example is marked with the King / SMF / SOLINGEN trademark with a droop eagle 5 acceptance proof. The fittings are of the later post 1938 aluminum with gilted swastikas. The grip is blue Moroccan leather with 3 band aluminum wire wrap. The scabbard has blue Moroccan leather with aluminum fittings. It has a permanently attached aluminum hang chain with 6 upper rings, 8 lower rings, and aluminum clasp marked GES. GESON. / OLC (within diamond). CONDITION: Overall very good. Blade is good with crisp markings, cleaned pitting, and light scabbard scuffing. Guard and pommel are very good with strong gold enamel and light handling marks. Leather is good with light scuffing, a few dents, and wear. (02-24973/ZAL) $400-600
