^Lot 1597 WWII GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE DAGGER BY EICKHORN.

A very nice example of a WWII German Kriegsmarine dagger measuring 16 5/8" overall with a etched blade marked " CARL EICKHORN SOLINGEN (logo) ". Etching includes nautical and decorative motifs. Gilded brass crossguard with central anchor in rectangle. Gilded brass pommel depicting an eagle with Party symbol. Off white wire wrapped grip. Gilded brass scabbard with lightning bolt motif. CONDITION: blade retains some original factory polish and the etching is clear and crisp. Hilt shows light wear with some of the gilded finish remaining. Grip is undamaged. Scabbard retains traces of its original gilded finish. (02-24961/BF). NON-GUN. $600-900.
